Learn how to become a Marriage and Family Therapist while receiving ongoing support throughout the process.
Our training program is a tremendous resource to those pursuing a career as a Marriage and Family Therapist. The program is available to interns seeking a Master’s level clinical practicum, or to those who have already completed a Master’s degree and require further training towards becoming a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. Renee Voss, LMFT, CADC, is the Clinical Training Director of the program. She is an AAMFT Approved Supervisor Candidate, and a Clinical Fellow of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy.
The training program includes experience working with individuals, couples, and families in a clinical therapy setting as well as didactic workshops. Internships are twelve months long, 15-20 hours a week, including one hour of individual supervision and one hour of group supervision each week. Trainees and interns have access to a library of resources specific to MFT theory and practice, and will utilize either live supervision or video taped sessions as a training component to enhance their learning experience. Participants of the program can expect to increase their clinical skills and further their understanding and application of MFT theory to practice.
