About Charity
Dr. Lane serves adolescents and adults by providing therapy in individual, couple, and group contexts. Utilizing a relational and psychodynamic approach, she seeks to come alongside clients as they journey toward a more abundant and connected life. Dr. Lane has particular interest in working with issues of marriage, sexual identity and sexuality, including trauma, dysfunctions, compulsive behaviors, and sexual health. She spent 4 years in training, research, and clinical work within the Marriage and Ministry Assessment Training and Empowerment (MMATE) Center as well as 5 years in the Institute for the Study of Sexual Identity.
Dr. Lane’s experience includes working with college students, veterans who have experienced trauma, and adolescents and adults in intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization programs. Significant cross-cultural experiences in her personal life have grown in her a deep appreciation for diversity and respect for a person’s unique story. She considers herself a student of the psyche and lover of life and laughter and seeks to instill this love in her clients.
